Elsie M. DeSamber, 83, of Ft. Morgan, CO died Sunday morning at her home in Ft. Morgan. She was born March 11, 1924 to Otto and Irene Doyle in Brighton, CO. She grew up in Ft. Morgan on the Doyle family farm. She married Albert "Brick" DeSamber on March 2nd 1946. They lived in Stoneham, CO until 1959 when they returned to Ft. Morgan. She worked at several cafes and restaurants' in the Ft. Morgan area. She raised turkeys and chickens for three years, and owned and operated the Log Lane Grocery for four years, she also owned a dairy until she retired in 1986. She enjoyed crocheting and gardening. She is survived by her children, Sarah (Sally) Higley of Oak Harbor, WA, David DeSamber, Victor DeSamber, and Dianna Barton all of Ft. Morgan, three brothers, and 2 sisters, five grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Albert, her parents, five brothers, and three sisters. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2-5 pm at the Heer & Jolliffe Mortuary. A Funeral service will be held on Thursday at 1:30 pm at the Saint Helena Catholic Church in Ft.
