Elsie McGonegal, 68, of Fort Morgan, passed away suddenly in the emergency room of the Colorado Plains Medical Center on Wednesday, October 31, 2007. She was born August 17, 1939, in LaVeta, CO, to Joseph and Myrtle Beuke. On June 8, 1963, Elsie married Larry McGonegal in Colorado Springs, CO. The McConegal family moved to Fort Morgan in 1991. She attended St. Helena Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed doing needlework, crocheting, and quilting, reading and doing jigsaw and crossword puzzles. Survivors include her 2 children, Keith of Englewood, CO and Cyndi Bahr of Fort Morgan; 1 brother, Kenneth Beuke of Colorado Springs; 2 sisters, Barbara Starke of Ellicott, CO and Joyce Bittleston of Limon, CO; and 5 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, 1 sister, Shirley, and her parents. A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 10, at 10:30 AM at St. Helena Catholic Church. The service will conclude at the church. Inurnment will be at a later date at Ft. Logan National Cemetery in Denver.
