Elsie Ellen Weimer Wiederspan Born June 21, 1922 in Denver, CO to Jacob and Julia Weimer. She passed away on December 12, 2009 at the Colorado Plains Medical Center, Fort Morgan, CO. She was second of three children; she spent most of her life living in Morgan County, CO. She attended the Brush Schools and graduated from Brush High School. She married Harold Jacob Wiederspan of Fort Morgan, CO on July 6th, 1940, and they made their home in Fort Morgan. She was a full time mother and wife. Harold and Elsie spent many days bowling, camping, fishing and enjoying each other. Harold was employed farming and later with Morgan County REA, and during Western Sugar Campaign, Harold and Elsie would pick up beet tares at the local beet dumps. Elsie enjoyed shopping, spending time with her family, listening to George Strait, watching John Elway and the Broncos and keeping current with the days line up of the Colorado Rockies. She never missed having a piece of chocolate after her meal, and keeping those cupboards full of sweets for her grandkids. Elsie is survived by her sister Nancy and her husband Leroy Gimbel of Gillette, WY. Her son Jack and his wife Vickie of Fort Morgan, her son Gary and his wife Eileen of Riverside, CA and her daughter Julie and her husband Larry of Gillette, WY. Her grandchildren Brenda and Jon, Troy and Laura, Jennifer and Corey, Tiffany, Chanel, Melissa and Alan, Krystle, Jessica and Jason, Dalton and Olivia. Her great grandchildren Kory, Brandon, Kortney, Brayden, Brooke, Ashley, Cameron, Blake, Kennedy, Hailey, Camron and Samara. She was preceded in death by her brother Carl, her parents and then Harold in 1983. She was a member of Christ Congregational Church of Fort Morgan. Services are being held at Christ Congregational Church, 730 Ensign Street, Fort Morgan, CO on Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at 10 am. Interment will be following the service at Memory Gardens, Fort Morgan Cemetery, Ft Morgan, CO.
