Elton E. Ingmire, 72, prominent Morgan County Businessman, died Friday, May 17, 2002 at the Denver Health Medical Center. He was born April 22, 1930, in Snyder and lived all his life in Morgan County. Elton married Laura Eicher on June 6, 1948, in Brush. He was founder of Ingmire Insurance Agency in 1950, a company that later was known as Ingmire - Wilson Insurance Agency, and now known as Ingmire - Phillips Insurance Inc.. Elton was very involved in the Brush community. He is a past president of the Jaycees, Brush Rotary Club, Brush Rodeo Association, the Brush Chamber of Commerce and the East Morgan County Hospital District. He is a former chief of the Brush Volunteer Fire Department, served on the RE-2J School Board, and the Munn's Addition Sanation Board, and was a member of the Brush Bowling Association for many years. He was a developer of the Pioneer Housing subdivision in Brush. He was also a charter member of the Bunker Hill Country Club, and was a member of the Brush United Methodist Church. He enjoyed being with his family and friends, especially spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Laura, of Brush; 2 sons, Dale and David both of Brush; 1 brother, Roy Ingmire, of Fort Morgan; 2 sisters, Donna Schilling and Maxine Galyk both of Brush; and 4 grandchildren - Ty, Lucas, Kinsey, and Eric. His son, Dan, died October 25, 1985. His parents also preceded him in death. Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 22, 2002, at 10:30 AM at the Brush United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the Brush Memorial Cemetery.
