Elva R. Miller, 74 of Fort Morgan, passed away Friday, February 22, 2008 at the Colorado Plains Medical Center. She was born June 15, 1933 in Yuma, Colorado to Henry and Johanna (Busing) Trautman. When she was 10 years old the family moved from Longmont, CO, to Fort Morgan when her father opened a farm implement business. Elva married Clyde Miller on March 15, 1953 in Ft. Morgan. She worked for many years as a bookkeeper for Quality Home Foods before she and Clyde purchased the Muir's Floral Shop in 1975. They changed the name to Miller's Floral and operated the shop until they retired in 1992. After retiring they enjoyed traveling in their motor home, fishing and visiting family and friends. Elva was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church serving on the Altar Guild, sang in the choir and was a member of the Naomi Circle and the Circle of Concern. At her home in the Fremont Apartments she was a Resident Assistant and Secretary of the Fremont Advisory Board. She also enjoyed meeting with all her friends in the Red Hats Fun Bunch and the Hillcrest/Fremont Friendship Club. She is survived by four children, her daughter Wanda Johnson, and husband Gary of Aurora, their children Justin, Christopher, Jeremy and wife Lesley; her son, Rev. Larry Miller, and wife Shari of Helena, MT, their children, Joshua and Johanna; her son, Norman Miller, and wife Jeanette of Greeley, their children, Janae, Megan and M'lyn; and her son Robin Miller; and wife Ann of Westford, MA, and their children, Matthew, Zachary and Abigail; one sister, Wilma Krowas of Franklin, WI. She is also survived by Clyde's sisters, Nora Riedel, Elsie Eckhardt, Dorothy Hobbs, Esther Bernhardt, and Bonnie August, and his brothers, Harry Miller, Harvey Miller, and Harold Miller, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde, one sister Barbara Zwetzig, and her parents. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday at 10:30 am at Trinity Lutheran Church, Inurnment will follow in the Serenity Falls Columbarium. Friends who wish may make memorial donations to the Endowment Fund of Trinity Lutheran Church and School.
