Emma Lapp, 83, lifelong area resident, died Sunday, December 2, 2012 at her son's home in Ft. Morgan. Emma was born June 4, 1929 in Ft. Morgan to David and Katherine (Reichert) Neb. She married Leonard Lapp on January 25, 1948 in Ft. Morgan. He died in 2005. Emma was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Brush. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren and they were very special to her. She enjoyed reading, cooking, quilting, tending to her flower garden and visiting with her friends at the Beehive when she lived there. Survivors include three daughters, Marilyn Riddle and husband Ken of Greeley, Patti Lapp of Ft. Morgan, and Kathie Lummus and husband Brian of Dumas, Texas, two sons, Allan Lapp and wife Vickie of Ft. Morgan, and Lynn Lapp and wife Carla of Wiggins, eleven grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Emma was preceded in death by her husband Leonard, one brother, David Neb, two sisters, Katie Schneider and Marie Lauck and her parents. Funeral Services will be Friday, December 7, 2012 at 10:30 am at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Brush. Interment will follow in the Brush Memorial Cemetery. Friends who wish may make memorial gifts to Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Brush. The Heer Mortuary in Brush is in charge of the arrangements.
