Emmett Earl Clayton, 73, longtime area resident, died Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at his home in Ft. Morgan. He was born October 2, 1938 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Elmer and Jessie Clayton. He moved here in 1963 from Joplin, Missouri. Mr. Clayton married Judith Edwards on April 6, 1996 in Ft. Morgan. He enjoyed fishing and camping. He loved his grandchildren and they were very important to him. Survivors include his wife Judith of Ft. Morgan, two children, Barbara Gleason of Brush and Mike Marsh and wife Kelley of Ft. Morgan, one brother, Edwin Clayton of Joplin, Missouri, his grandchildren, Justin Greene and his wife Krystal of Longmont, Crystal Schmidt who lives in Nebraska, Pauline Schmidt of Ft. Morgan, Justin Marsh of Ft. Morgan, Ayla Ault who lives in Missouri, Chelsea Ault of Ft. Morgan and Cassandra Ault of Ft. Morgan and his great grandchildren, Jaylyn, Joselynn, Skyleigh, Joseph and Lucas. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Jerry and Jim Clayton. Memorial Services will be Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 10:30 am at the Sanctuary in Ft. Morgan. Services will conclude at the church. The Heer & Dahl Mortuary in Ft. Morgan is in charge of the arrangements.
