Erma (Pickett) Grosshans, 77, passed away Thursday, September 13, 2007, 2007, at the East Morgan County Hospital in Brush. She was born May 12, 1930, in McPherson County Nebraska, to Charles & Ruby Mae Pickett. She married Donald Grosshans on March 3, 1954. Prior to retirement, Erma worked as a dispatcher for the Burlington Northern Railroad. She has lived in the Brush area most all her life. She enjoyed reading, sewing and working on crafts of all types. She especially enjoyed being with people. Survivors include her children, Rita Forsythe of Brush and Mike Grosshans of Aurora, CO; 2 sisters, Gladys Walker of Brush and Bonnie Newton of Fort Morgan; 4 brothers, Harley Pickett of Fort Collins, Wayne Pickett of Trinidad, CO, Larry Pickett of Broomfield, CO, and Don Pickett of Commerce City, CO; 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, 1 sister, 6 brothers, and her parents. Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 18, 2007, at 2:00 PM at the Heer Mortuary Chapel. The service will conclude at the mortuary. Private inurnment will be in the Brush Memorial Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be at the Heer Mortuary on Monday from 2:30 – 5 PM.
