ESTHER BAUMGARTNER, 94, of Wiggins, died early Wednesday morning, January 21, 2009 at the Valley View Villa in Ft. Morgan. She was born December 28, 1914 in McCook, NE to George & Mary (Weise) Kaufman. She married Jacob Baumgartner on November 24, 1932 at the Lutheran Church in Brush. Mrs. Baumgartner was a member of the Wiggins Community Church and the Home Circle Club in Hoyt. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and crocheting. Survivors include her daughter, Janice Penfold of Wiggins; three sons, Stanley Baumgartner of Wiggins, Larry Baumgartner of Bryan, OH, and Kenneth Baumgartner of Las Vegas, NV; 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters, Molly, Katie, Pauline, Lydia, and Marie; one brother, Dan; and her husband, Jacob Baumgartner. Visitation will be Sunday, January 25th from 2 – 4 PM at the Heer & Dahl Mortuary in Fort Morgan. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 26th at 10:00 AM at the Wiggins Community Church. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Fort Morgan.
