Obituary

God called our mother, Esther Pflager home on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 from Colorado Plains Medical Center in Fort Morgan.

She was born March 3, 1919 in Fort Morgan to George & Anna Margaret (Frick) Lapp. She was united in marriage to Dale Pflager on December 16, 1937. Together they raised four children; a son and three daughters.

Esther was everything that exemplified a loving mother and grandmother. Our family will always cherish the memories of her making dozens of homemade doughnuts, German foods, and the family dinners at grandma's house. She loved to crochet. She made many beautiful afghans and other crocheted items.

Esther worked for Morgan Floral as a designer for many years. She was also a Girl Scout leader during her daughters years in scouting.

Her greatest joy was spending time with family and friends. Dale and Esther spent their retirement years camping in the mountains. They enjoyed many adventures with their children, grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Esther was preceded in death by her husband, Dale, her parents; two brothers, Fred Lapp and baby, George Lapp; three sisters, Edith Benson, Rose Meininger, and Violet Oldenburg.

She is survived by her son, Robert (Janice) Pflager; three daughters, Sharon (Kenny) Henderson, Joyce Deal, and Teresa Pflager; her grandchildren, Sherri (Brett) Nikont, Kent (Jan) Pflager, Kerri Iserman, Kolleen (Brian) Kembel, Ryan (Pam) Henderson, Robert (Annie) Henderson, Keith (Laurie) Bruntz, Trisha (Jakob Baker) Bruntz, Stephanie Peters, Jeff (Amber) Michael, Angela Michael, and Wesley Wacker, 30 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.
