In 1980, Ethel and Tom moved to Colorado and built a log home, and many friendships, near Hesperus. In 1999, they moved to Denver to be near family: Steve, Laurie and Keenan. A few years after Tom's passing in 2004, she moved to Lincoln Meadows, and later, to Brookdale Greenwood Village.
Ethel is remembered with love by her son, Steve Adams, and daughter-in-law, Laurie Adams, both of Denver, daughters Wendy Adams of Tucson, AZ, and Leslie Adams of Bellingham, WA. (son-in-law John Mangan), as well as grandchildren Tiana, Keenan, Christopher, Lucas and Nick, four great-grandchildren, and her sister, Elva June Escola, of Independence, MO. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Tommy, her parents, Frances and Harvey DeLong, and her brother, David DeLong.
She enjoyed being a member of the University Park United Methodist Church, Denver, and U.M. Churches in Marvel, CO and Kansas City, MO. Gifts in her name may be made to University Park United Methodist Church, Health and Healing Ministry.
