Ethel Mae Flanders, 94, of Wiggins, died Saturday, January 8, 2012 at her home in Wiggins. She was born February 22, 1917 in Watseka, Illinois to Russell and Bernice (Hunt) Roberts. She married William Flanders. They were married for over 50 years when he passed away. Ethel was a member of the Eastern Star and enjoyed helping the El Zaribah Shrine with their charitable activities. She worked as a registered nurse and enjoyed taking care of her patients. She loved her animals and especially enjoyed visiting with her family and friends. She is survived by her children, Debbie Reagan of Mesa, AZ, Suzie Hunstiger of Tempe, AZ, Bill Flanders and his wife Sharon of Plano, TX and Nancy Carter of Wiggins; her grandchildren Kevin Crance, Nathan Stoken and Keana Flanders; several great grandchildren; one brother Jack Roberts of Grand Junction, and one sister Mary Jane Zumwalt of Sheldon, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her husband, William, one brother, Robert Roberts, and her parents, Russell and Bernice. A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 20, 2012 at 1:00 pm at the Heer & Dahl Mortuary Chapel in Ft. Morgan. The service will conclude at the chapel.
