Obituary

Eugene D. Crawley, 88, longtime Woodrow & Brush area resident, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2016, following a lengthy illness. He was born November 2, 1928 in Galatia, KS, to Francis & Cecil Crawley.

When Gene was 3 his family moved to the Woodrow community. On June 2, 1953, he married Helen Haworth in Fort Morgan, CO. After retiring from farming, the Crawley family lived in Brush where he owned & operated the Trav-O-Tel and Trailer Park and operated the G & H Coin Shop for many years.

Gene was a member of the American Numismatic Association. He enjoyed collecting coins, playing with his dogs, fixing and repairing things, and working in his garden.

Survivors include his wife, Helen and 1 daughter, Janet (Paul) Brinkman all of Brush. He was preceded in death by 1 brother, Warren Crawley.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 28, at 11:00 AM at the First Christian Church in Fort Morgan. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens. The Heer Mortuary is entrusted with the funeral arrangements. Friends who wish may make memorial gifts to the American Cancer Society.
