Eugene Norman Mitchell, 86, Life long resident of Boulder, died Thursday at the Avista Adventist Hospital in Louisville, CO. He was born December 3, 1919 in Boulder to Charles and Inez Mitchell. Eugene served in the United States Army during WWII. He married Dorreen Beck October 27, 1946 in Brush. He was an Electrical Construction Manager for C.U. for 16 years before he retired in 1982. He is survived by his wife Dorreen of Boulder, his daughter Connie Mitchell-Beagley of Holly Springs, NC, . One son Douglas Mitchell of Broomfield, 1 sister, Beverly Downey of Santa Cruise, CA, 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, 1 brother, and 2 half brothers. A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 am at the Brush Memorial Cemetery in Brush, CO. The V.F.W. #3551 will conduct Military Honors. The Heer Mortuary & Crematory in Brush is charge of the arrangements.
