Euna May Bailey, 82 longtime area resident, died Sunday, May 25, 2008, at the Valley View Villa Care Center in Ft. Morgan. Euna was born November 8, 1925 in Liberty, Texas to John and Lucille (Lemmon) Weimer. She married Joe R. Bailey on September 1, 1943 in Dawson, Oklahoma. They moved to Ft. Morgan from Ft. Worth, Texas 54 years ago. Euna was an active member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Ft. Morgan. She taught Sunday School and always helped out at church. She also volunteered at Valley View and the Ft. Morgan Hospital. Euna enjoyed walking and tending to her flower garden. She loved being with her family and they were very important to her. Survivors include three daughters, Deborah Carson and Shirley Gregory both of Ft. Morgan and Cindy Killough of Safford, Arizona, one son, Gaylon Baily of Jackson, Mississippi, one sister, Wynelle Parnell of Ft. Worth, Texas, 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Euna was preceded in death by her parents, husband Joe, who died in 2004, one daughter, Gloria Wiley, one son, John Charles Bailey and two sisters, Ouida Weimer and Ruth Crockett. Memorial Services will be Thursday, May 29, 2008 at 10:30 AM at the Calvary Baptist Church in Ft. Morgan. Private inurnment in Memory Gardens. Memorial Gifts may be made to either the Calvary Baptist Church in Ft. Morgan or to the National Alzheimer's Association. The Heer Mortuary in Ft. Morgan is in charge of the arrangements.
