EVELYN M. PAUL, 88, of Fort Morgan, died Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Valley View Villa in Fort Morgan where she has been a resident since 2009. She was born May 7, 1925 in Creighton, NE to Benjamin & Lena (Raff) Cannon. She married Erich Paul in Sidney, NE on April 20, 1947. That same year, Erich & Evelyn moved to Scottsbluff, NE, where all of their children were born. They moved back to Colorado in 1963 and owned and operated the Apple Orchard Motel in Fort Morgan until 1968. Evelyn also worked at the Drumstick Café and Park Terrace Inn in Fort Morgan before her retirement. Evelyn was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Morgan. She is survived by her seven children, John Paul, Donald (Terri) Paul, Dorothy Brooks, Douglas (Judy) Paul, and Judy (Tony) Ramirez, all of Fort Morgan, and Steve Paul, and Jeanette (Jesse) Rodriguez, of Fort Collins. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, 5 sisters, 1 brother, 2 infant sons, her husband, and a great grandson. Visitation will be from 4 - 7 PM on Wednesday, February 12th at the Heer Mortuary in Fort Morgan. Funeral service will be on Thursday, February 13th at 10:30 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Morgan. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens in Fort Morgan.
