Obituary

Farice V. Elwood, 85, lifelong resident of Fort Morgan, died Thursday, November 5, 2015 at her home. She was born July 11, 1930 in Fort Morgan to Marshall & Frieda (Lebsock) Green. She attended area school and graduated. On January 2, 1949, Farice married Marvin Elwood in Fort Morgan. The Elwood's owned and operated the Fort Morgan Carpet Center for 33 years. There, Farice's main job was working as the secretary/bookkeeper, which she loved doing. Faris was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Fort Morgan, the B.P.O. DOES, and the American Business Women's Association, where she had the privilege of being nominated Woman of The Year. Farice enjoyed playing cards, spending time with her family, and traveling the word with her husband. Survivors include her husband, Marvin Elwood of Fort Morgan; her daughter, Debbie Wohllaib and husband, David; her son, Myron Elwood and companion, Lori Nondorf of Greeley, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Barbara Reed of Laramie, WY, and Denise Holdren and husband, John of Greeley; and two brothers, Marshall Green and wife, Nancy of Boise, ID, and Stan Green and wife, Linda of Pueblo. Farice was preceded in death by her parents. A memorial service will be Monday, November 9th at 11:00 AM at the United Presbyterian Church in Fort Morgan. Services will conclude at the church. Private Inurnment will take place in Serenity Falls Columbarium. Memorial donations may be made to the United Presbyterian Church, 1300 E. Riverview Ave., Fort Morgan, CO 80701.
