Fayola Poe, 95, longtime area resident, died Thursday, February 14, 2013 at her home in Ft. Morgan. Fayola was born December 5, 1917 in Chester, Illinois to Rudolph and Annie Mary Meyer. She married P.A. Poe on December 25, 1938 in Ft. Morgan. He died in 2001. She and P.A. ran Poe's Produce in Ft. Morgan for many years. Fayola enjoyed doing embroidery work. She loved animals and always had cats, dogs and horses on her place. Survivors include two sons, Jerry Poe and wife Cheryl or Cherokee, Oklahoma, and Dale Poe and wife Reubenetta of Ft. Morgan, one daughter, Diana Hopp and husband Jim of Sun City, Arizona, three sisters, Dorothy Nestor, and Helen Thompson both of Ft. Morgan and Eva Taylor of Longmont, six grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband P.A. one sister Clara May Weimer, four brothers, Fred, Bob, Harold and Glen Wright, and her parents. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at 10:00 am at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Ft. Morgan. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens. The Heer Mortuary in Ft. Morgan is in charge of the arrangements.
