Florence I. Kauk, 73, life resident of Morgan County, passed away Saturday, November 24, 2007, at the East Morgan County Hospital in Brush. She was born October 9, 1934, in Fort Morgan, to Carl & Hilda Cook. She graduated from Fort Morgan High School in 1952.. On January 18, 1953, Florence married Robert Kauk in Fort Morgan. Florence enjoyed being a wife and mother. She worked for a short time at the Treasure Chest in Fort Morgan. She was a very active member of the Immanuel Congregational Church, a member of Beta Sigma Phi – Alpha Upsilon Chapter Sorority, and a pinochle club, and played in several bridge clubs She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Robert of Brush; 3 sons, Russell, and his wife Trina, of Colorado Springs, Rodney, and his wife Kathy, of Brush, and Rob, and his wife, Karen, of Hurricane, UT; 1 brother, Edwin Cook of Wiggins; 1 sister, Janet Kauffman of Fort Morgan; 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 27, 2007, at 10:30 AM at the Immanuel Congregational Church, Everett & Clifton Streets in Brush. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens in Fort Morgan. Visitation will be at the Heer Mortuary in Brush on Monday from 5 – 8 PM.
