Florence Faye (Jo) Spotts, 61, of Fort Morgan passed away Monday, July 29, 2013, following a brief battle with cancer. Jo was born in Fort Morgan on April 17, 1952 to R.J. and Velma (Carlock) Blecha, and attended Fort Morgan High School. Jo married Allen D. Spotts on December 23, 1971. As a military family they lived in North Carolina and South Carolina before settling in San Diego in 1972 to raise a family. Jo worked as a accountant at Info Link and Wavetek before becoming a controller for KSDO and KYXY radio. She divorced in 1990 and later moved back to Fort Morgan to care for her mother. Jo worked for the Fort Morgan Housing Authority at Hillcrest Apartments, where her mother was a resident. She later moved to Fort Lupton where she managed the Fort Lupton Housing Authority and was president of Northern Colorado Housing Authority. She later returned back to Fort Morgan where she worked at NAPA Auto Parts. Jo's passion was reading, and time spent with her family and her two grandsons was very important to her. She is survived by her two children: daughter, Annette Simpson and her husband Scott and their two sons, Jake and Luke Simpson of Murrieta, California; and son Jim Spotts and his wife Michelle of San Diego, California; three sisters: Loretta Blazier of Wiggins, Colorado; Phyllis Warthen of Denver, Colorado; and Barbara Holloway of Wray, Colorado; eight brothers: Jim of Denver, Colorado; Harry and Ann of Carmichael, California; Marion and Gloria of Longmont, Colorado; Raleigh and Edna of Poway, California; Paul and Erma of Littleton, Colorado; Edward and Cindy of Sacramento, California; Don and Barb of Fort Morgan, Colorado; and George and Brenda of Proctor, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her parents. There will be a Celebration of Life gathering at Don and Barb Blecha's home at 715 Acoma Avenue in Fort Morgan on Sunday, August 4, 2013 from noon to 4:00 p.m.
