Franklin J. Ford, 55, passed away early Tuesday morning at the East Morgan County Hospital emergency room in Brush. He was born January 24, 1953, in Gary, Indiana, to Walt & Anna Ford. He graduated from Lafayette, CO, High School. On June 10, 1972, he married Marisa Alexander in Broomfield, CO. The Ford family has lived in Brush for the past 34 years. Frank was an avid Denver Bronco fan, enjoyed woodworking, and riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle. Before ill health forced his retirement, Frank was a brick layer. Survivors include his wife, Marisa, of Brush; 4 children, John, Russell, and Thomas all of Brush and Brandi Silva, and her husband, Marco, of Brighton, CO; 2 brothers, George Ford of Canton, OH, and Phil Ford of Fort Collins, CO; 3 sisters, Sharon Para of Chandler, AZ, Cheryl Painter and Mary Waldsmith both of Mesa, AZ; and 4 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 1, 2008, at 11:00 AM at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Brush. The service will conclude at the mortuary. Visitation will be at the Heer Mortuary on Friday from 2 – 5:30 PM.
