Fred Kelly, 93, passed away Thursday, July 16, 2009, at the Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush, Colorado. He was born February 16, 1916, in Lockney, New Mexico, to James & Betty Kelly. In 1963, Fred married Genevieve Clark Morrow. They lived and ranched near Lockney for many years before moving to Erie, Colorado. While living near Erie, Fred & Genevieve operated a chicken farm. Genevieve died June 10, 2008. Fred loved working on his ranch. He was very fond of all animals, especially horses and cattle. Survivors include 1 son, Tom Morrow of Brush; 1 sister, June McMeen of Dalhart, TX, 3 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. Fred was preceded in death by his wife, 5 brothers, 4 sisters, and his parents. Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 21, 2009, at 10:30 AM (MDT) at the Heer & Dahl Mortuary Chapel in Brush, Colorado. Concluding services and interment will be in the Nara Visa, New Mexico Cemetery on Thursday, July 23, 2009, at 11:00 AM (CDT).
