Fred Swopes, 76, passed away suddenly on Monday, October 8, 2018, in Cheyenne, WY. He was born June 29, 1942 in Brush, CO to Charlie & Mary Rose  Swopes.

Fred drove a truck most all his life. He loved to drive. He also enjoyed hunting prairie dogs, target shooting, and spending time with his friends. He moved to Missouri several years ago and recently moved back to Brush to be near his family.

Survivors include his son Randy (Tammy) Swopes and his daughter Sandra (Bob) Evins all of Brush; 3 grandchildren, Chad Swopes, Ashley Evins, and Dalton Swopes, and several great grandchildren; and his brother, Tom (Janie) Swopes of Cushing, OK. Fred was preceded in death by his brother Richard "Dickie" Swopes, and his parents.

A graveside service was held at the Brush Memorial Cemetery Columbarium  Friday, October 12, 2018, at 11:00 AM.
