Obituary

FREDERICK ROBERT WINGSTROM, 88, of Fort Morgan, died early Sunday morning, April 1, 2007 at the Sunset Manor Care Center in Brush. Wingstrom was born February 25, 1919 in Weldona to Jon & Bessie Mae (Harvey) Wingstrom. He married Doloris "Tripie" Triplett on November 24, 1940 in Imperial, NE. Mr. Wingstrom farmed and ranched in Weldona until 1955 when the family moved to Fort Morgan. He then worked as a carpenter until his retirement. Wingstrom was a member of the IOOF. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and traveling. He was an avid Broncos fan. He especially enjoyed spending time with family. He was fluent in Spanish and enjoyed visiting with people. Mr. Wingstrom is survived by his wife "Tripie" Wingstrom of Fort Morgan, three children; Janie Dotson and Dale Wingstrom, both of Fort Morgan, and Fred Wingstrom of Rifle, CO, 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his infant son, Merle Edward Wingstrom; one sister, Rose Meense; and two brothers, Lincoln Wingstrom and Ed Wingstrom. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 4th from 3 – 6 PM at the Heer & Jolliffe Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan. Funeral services will be Thursday, April 5th at 1:00 PM, also at the chapel. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens in Fort Morgan. Memorial gifts may be made in Wingstrom's name to the First Christian Church, 225 W. Bijou Ave., Fort Morgan. The Heer & Jolliffe Mortuary in Fort Morgan is in charge of arrangements.
