Frieda Brandt, 88, Life long Morgan County resident, died Saturday evening at the Valley View Villa in Ft. Morgan. She was born May 2, 1921 in Brush, to Pete and Elizabeth Eckes. She grew up in the farming community north of Brush and attended the Roosevelt School. She married Henry Brandt May 26, 1946 in Ft. Morgan. She worked for the Bings Laundry Company for many years and also worked for several businesses cleaning their offices. She is survived by her son Richard of Ft. Morgan, and one sister Lydia Eckes of Ft. Moragn. She was preceded in death by one brother George Eckes and 2 sisters Marie Eckes and Mollie Lebsock, and her parents. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 1:30 pm at the Memory Gardens Cemetery in Ft. Morgan.
