Frieda Ostrander, 90, of Ft. Morgan, died Tuesday morning at the Colorado Plains Medical Center in Ft. Morgan. She was born June 27, 1917 in Mitchell, NE to John and Mary Katherine Reinhart. Frieda's family moved to Morgan County in 1924. On September 26, 1936 she married Harold Ostrander in Littleton, CO. Frieda was a head cook for the RE-3 School District for 33 years. She was involved in several state organizations for school lunch programs. She retired in 1979. Frieda was known for making cabbage pockets, and for growing prize winning Iris flowers. She was a member of the United Methodist Church. She was an avid Bronco and Rockies fan. She is survived by her daughter Betty Shiers and son in-law Arnie of Ft. Morgan, one brother Bill Reinhart of Loveland, 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold, two sisters, two brothers, and her parents. At her request there will be no services.
