Geneva B. Grippin, 91, a life-long Brush resident, died early Friday, July 15, 2011, at Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush. Geneva was born on December 25, 1919, south of Brush, to Guy and Annie Wetzbarger. Geneva married Leroy Grippin on November 20, 1940 in St. Francis, Kansas. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Brush. Geneva enjoyed quilting, knitting, dancing and volunteering for Caring Ministries. She is survived by her son, Earl Grippin, of Brush; a sister, Ethel Schippert of Brush; a brother, Cecil Wetzbarger of Fort Morgan. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Robin Schmeeckle, Paul Grippin and Travis Grippin, all of Fort Morgan and Sherri Ficco of Brush; Twelve great-grandchildren, Tyson Grippin, Christopher Rocha, Wyatt Grippin, Grant Schmeeckle,Shane Grippin, Austin Grippin, Lucas Schmeeckle, Aaron Grippin, Blaze Ficco, Chance Ficco, Kassidy Grippin and Kenna Grippin; seven great-great-grandchildren, Brinlee Grippin, Chase Ficco, Tuff Grippin, Kyleigh Grippin, Kane Grippin, Lillie Grippin and Cash Grippin. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leroy; three brothers, Bob, Kenneth and Everett and three sisters, Nellie Lesser, Marvol Hayes and Esther Linder. A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday July 19 at 11:00 am a 620 Clayton Street Brush. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to the Heer & Dahl Crematory.
