Genevieve Mary Campbell, 89, formerly of Sidney, Nebraska, died Sunday, January 6, 2013 at the Valley View Villa Care Center in Ft. Morgan, CO. She was born September 22, 1923 in Posen, Michigan to Warren and Nellie Page. Genevieve married Orian H. Campbell in Alpena, Michigan in 1944, he died in 1991. In her earlier years she worked as a teacher in the Detroit area. She moved to Ft. Morgan about 4 years ago from Sidney, NE to be closer to her family. Genevieve was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and the St. Charles Episcopal Church in Ft. Morgan. She enjoyed working in her flower garden. Genevieve was a poet and had several of her poems published. She had also written a book that she was putting the finishing touches on at the time of her death. Survivors include one son, Douglas Campbell of Gering, Nebraska, two daughters, Valerie Kucharski of Scottsville, New York, and Gloria Olsen and husband Tom of Ft. Morgan, one brother, Jack Page and wife Helen, two sisters, May Little and Pat Kennedy all of Alpena, Michigan, 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Dorothy Blizzard and Margaret Brown and one brother, Charles Page. There will be a visitation on Thursday, January 10, 2013 from 2 until 4 pm at the Heer Mortuary in Ft. Morgan. Funeral Services will be Friday, January 11, 2013 at 10:30 am at the St. Charles Episcopal Church in Ft. Morgan. Interment will follow at 2:30 pm at the Greenwood Cemetery in Sidney, Nebraska. Friends who wish may make memorial gifts in Genevieve's name in care of the Heer Mortuary in Ft. Morgan. The Heer Mortuary in Ft. Morgan is in charge of the arrangements.
