Obituary

Genevieve Kelly, a resident of Erie, Colorado passed away June 10, 2008 at her home. She was born in 1915 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri to Jim and Ellie Clark. The family moved to Amistad, New Mexico in the late 1920's and she attended Amistad High School. She was a star basketball player. After graduating she married Ed Morrow of Rosebud, New Mexico. They had two children, Tom Morrow of Brush, Colorado and Jim Morrow. They ranched in Rosebud until 1948. The family moved to Limon, Colorado in 1948 and ranched until Ed passed away in 1956. Genevieve then finished her education at CSU. She then taught school in Limon, Colorado and Hugo, Colorado. She married Fred Kelly in 1962 and moved to Nara Visa New Mexico where the couple ranched and she was a home demonstration agent in Clovis, New Mexico. In the mid 1970's Fred and Genevieve bought an egg ranch in Erie, Colorado. They retired in early 1990. Survivors include; her husband of 46 years, Fred Kelly of Erie Colorado, her son and his wife, Tom and Carol Morrow of Brush, Colorado, Their children, Tommy Morrow and wife Merrigwen of Brush, Colorado, Tyler and his wife, Becky of Briggsdale, Colorado, Cindy Keith of Wesminster, Colorado and six grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her first husband Ed, her son Jim, and her parents. A Funeral service will be held Tuesday June 17, at 10:00 AM at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Brush. Interment will be held Wednesday June 18, at 1:00 PM(CDT)in Nara Visa, New Mexico.
