George F. Blecha, 64, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2025 among family members.
George was born on February 21, 1961 in Fort Morgan, CO to RJ & Velma Blecha. George was the youngest of 12 children. He graduated from Fort Morgan High School in 1979. George grew up on the family farm. After graduation he worked various oilfield jobs around Fort Morgan. He moved to San Diego and later moved to Sacramento and worked for commercial building construction at both locations. George later moved to Denver and worked there for several years before moving back to Fort Morgan to work at his brother, Don's diesel repair shop. George ended his career working for several farms in the Crook area.
George loved motorcycle riding, sport shooting, hunting and fishing. George was always with his best friend, his dog B-Dog. They went everywhere together.
He is survived by, Barbara Holloway of Fort Morgan, Harry Blecha (Ann) of Carmichael, CA, Paul Blecha of Broomfield, CO, Phyllis Warthen of Sarasota, FL, Gus Blecha (Cindy) of Sacramento, CA, Loretta Blasier of Longmont, CO, Don Blecha (Barb) of Fort Morgan, CO, and many nieces and nephews. George is also survived by his best friend, "Super" Dave Sinclear.
George was preceded in death by his parents, brothers James, Marion and Raleigh, his sister, Jo Spotts, two nephews, Dean Goodman and Jim Spotts.
There will be a celebration of life at the VFW Hall, 203 3rd Avenue, Crook, CO on Saturday, August 2nd at 1:00 PM. All friends are welcome to attend.
