Georgena Gregg, affectionately known to family and friends as Gena or G.G., went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 21, 2025. Gena was born on April 20, 1956, to Harry and Georgetta Mark Gregg, growing up in a loving environment that nurtured her body and spirit.

Throughout her life, Gena resided in a group home where she enjoyed the companionship of exceptional friends and participated in a rich array of activities that enhanced her daily experiences. Her vibrant personality shone brightly at the Noresco Activity Center, where she engaged in outings and various creative pastimes. Among her favorite hobbies were solving word search puzzles, coloring intricate designs, crafting with colorful beads, and enjoying games on her tablet—bowling being her absolute favorite.

A passionate collector of stuffed animals, Gena found immense comfort in their soft, cuddly presence. She often surrounded herself with them during moments of relaxation and joy.

Gena's time working at Downtown Duds was marked by the formation of many treasured friendships. Her warm heart and generous spirit were evident to all who knew her. Gena had a special place in her heart for babies, taking immense joy in holding and admiring them. She never missed an opportunity to share a heartfelt hug with those around her.

Dancing was another of Gena's great passions. At the dances sponsored by ECSDD, Inc., she was always the first to hit the floor, radiating happiness and enthusiasm. Her involvement in the puppet team and bell choir at First Baptist Church was a testament to her love for community involvement and the arts. Dining out was a delightful adventure for Gena, who loved exploring new restaurants. Fried chicken topped her list of favorites.

Gena was preceded in death by her parents and three beloved sisters: Cindy Gregg, MaryAnn Gregg Noel, and Jackie Faye Gregg Carver. She is survived by her two sisters, Lois Gregg and Harriet Gregg Hatch, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and great-nieces and nephews, all of whom will hold her memory close to their hearts.

A celebration of Gena's remarkable life will take place on March 8th at Elevating Life Church, also known as First Baptist Church of Fort Morgan, at 10:30 am in Fort Morgan, Colorado. This will be followed by receptions where friends and family will gather to honor her legacy. Gena's warmth, kindness, and infectious joyful spirit will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
