Gerald Alvy Briles, 77, of Brush died Saturday, September 26, 2009 at his home in Brush. He was born August 29, 1932 in Lincoln, NE to Howard and Hazel Briles. Gerald or Jerry as people called him, grew up in Nebraska where he joined the Army and fought in Korea. He lived in Loveland where he raised his daughters. He moved to Brush at the age of 76 to enjoy the rest of his days. He will be missed by his family and friends. J erry never gave up in life, He is our hero & will survive in all our hearts forever. He is survived by his daughters, Amanda Nichole Briles, and Lacy Kay Briles both of Brush, one son Jason Leon Kopenheffer of Wellington, his step-son Nathan Thomas Saksek of Brush, his sister Phyllis Michaels of Lincoln, NE and 4 grandchildren. His family is planning a memorial service to be held on Sunday at the Round Mountain in Loveland.
