Gerald N. Corporan, 65, passed away Sunday, July 2, 2017, at the Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush. Gerald was born December 22, 1951, in Iowa City, IA, to Neil & Mary Corporan.

Gerald worked as a section hand for the railroad until health issues forced him to retire. In 1984 he moved to the Brush community. He was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Gerald enjoyed reading and studying railroad history.

Surviving family includes his 4 sisters, Sara Garcia of Brush; Charlotte Lynn of Eagle Grave, IA, Marian Nieman of Claudia, IA, and Marsha Schmidt of Marshalltown, IA. He was preceded in death by 1 brother, Gary, and his parents.

A graveside service will be held at the Brush Memorial Cemetery Interment Chapel on Monday, July 10, 2017, at 10:00 AM. Inurnment will follow in the Brush Cemetery Columbarium unit.
