Gerald "Jerry" Lee Funk, age 87, passed away in Greeley, Colorado on July 17, 2023. Born in Brush, Colorado, Jerry graduated from Snyder High School in the class of 1954 and attended Colorado State University. Gerald had served honorably in the National Guard and was awarded the "Most Outstanding Guardsman at Summer Encampment" in 1959.

Donna Mae Funk, age 85, passed away in Brush, Colorado on Monday, July 24th, 2023. Born in Brush, Colorado, Donna attended and graduated from Brush High School alongside the class of 1956.

Gerald and Donna were lifelong residents of the Snyder/Brush community where they dedicated their lives to agriculture, farming and ranching alongside their sons and Gerald's father. They were also partial owners of Funk-N-Sons in Antelope Springs. Jerry and Donna were married on August 25th, 1957, and had three sons, Bradley, Barry and Bryan. They both enjoyed traveling the country by way of motorcycle, together with neighbors and cherished friends.  Donna also found great joy in tending her garden while raising her sons. One of her greatest joys in life was being an active member of their church, Immanuel Congregational Church in Brush, where they both enjoyed serving coffee and cookies on Sunday mornings to their fellow parishioners. Donna will always be remembered for telling stories from days gone by. Memories of both will live on with their large and loving family that surround them.

Gerald and Donna are survived by their two sons and their spouses, Barry Funk (Melinda) and Bryan Funk (Kelly);  their 13 grandchildren and their spouses, Bryce Funk (Abby), Allyssa Funk, Lauren Funk, Caden Funk, Kaydence Funk, Avery Funk, Gunner O'Donnell (Leah Robertson), Grace O'Donnell, Natasha Breidenbach (Matthew Saunders), Aricka Breidenbach (Nick Moquin), Genna Breidenbach (Kaidin Phelan), Cydney Willis (Bryan Willis),  Brianna Gren (Cody Gren); great grandson, Emmett Funk. Gerald is survived by his sister, Nancy Kelly, and brother-in-law, Doug Kelly. Donna is also survived by a sister, Eleanor Sharrit. They are both preceded in death by their son, Bradly Funk; their parents, Alex Koehler, Mollie Koehler, Orville Funk, Wanda Funk and Gerald's stepmother, Alice. Gerald is also preceded by his brothers, Les and Dick.

Gerald and Donna will both forever be cherished and remembered by their family and friends for their dedicated hearts, and love for their family.

A funeral will be held for both Gerald and Donna on Tuesday, August 1st at 10:00 a.m. at Immanuel Congregational Church in Brush, Colorado. (209 Everett Street). Inurnment will follow in Brush Memorial Cemetery.
