Gerald "Jerry" Lebsock, beloved father, brother & uncle passed peacefully Saturday, February 9th at Valley View Villa in Fort Morgan, CO with family at his bedside following a courageous battle with Parkinson 's disease. He was born May 17, 1938 in Weldona, CO to Conrad and Flora (Alberts) Lebsock. Jerry was raised in Fort Morgan by Conrad and Merle Lebsock. After graduation from Fort Morgan High School in 1956, he joined the U.S. Navy and remained in the service of his country for 20 years. He was the recipient of the Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal & the Navy Achievement Medal. After retirement from the military, Jerry settled in Honolulu, Hawaii. In 1975 he married Margaret Feliciano Melendez. The couple relocated their family to his beloved Colorado in 1976 and bought a home in Aurora. Jerry retired from the Aurora Public School system in 2001. Due to declining health he relocated to Fort Morgan in 2011 to be near his sister and family. Jerry was a long time member of World of Life Christian Center in Lonetree, CO. He is survived by children, Monique, Jeffrey & Melissa; Step-Daughters, Cynthia, Loretta, Donna, Patricia & Jocelyn; his grandchildren; his sister, Anita Ertle, nephew, Tony( Andrea) Ertle; niece, Amanda (Robert) Miller; and his great-nieces, Anna & Elizabeth Ertle. Jerry was preceded in death by wife, Margaret in 2001; father, Conrad in 1954; mother, Merle in 2007; and his brother, Leslie in 1990. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Monday, February 18th at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan. Services will conclude at the chapel.
