Gilbert M. Guerrero, 68, longtime Morgan County resident, passed away Friday, May 15th, at the Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush.

He was born September 20, 1951, in San Antonio, TX to Milton & Paula Guerrero.

Gilbert married Frances Martinez on November 20, 1971 at Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Brush.

Gilbert was a longtime employee of American Beef, Sterling Beef and Cargill Meat Solutions. He received his GED from Morgan Community College in 1994. Jamming to his favorite music with his nephews was one his great pass times. Many will remember Gilbert as being the drummer for the Eldorado band that played in several venues in NE Colorado. He also loved going fishing with his buddies from work.

Survivors include his 2 daughters, Michelle Romero and Gail (Jorge) Corral all of Brush; 1 sister, Carolina Guerrero of San Antonio; 1 brother, Carlos Guerrero of Grand Island, NE; 6 grandchildren, Jessie, Jodie, Zebediah, Dustyn, Zenayah and Alexis and 5 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances, his parents, 3 older brothers, 2 older sisters and 1 nephew Michael Garcia.

In a year's time, Gilbert's Daughters will have a gathering with family and friends to celebrate Gilbert M. Guerrero's life like he would want us too.

A graveside memorial service will be held Friday, May 29, 2020, at 10:30 AM at the Brush Memorial Cemetery Interment Chapel (Gazebo).

Inurnment will follow in the Brush Memorial Cemetery.
