GLADYS BERNICE KOEHLER, 83, of Fort Morgan, passed away Saturday, September 1, 2007 at Valley View Villa in Fort Morgan. Gladys was born April 8, 1924 in Fort Morgan to George & Lena (Linker) Preisendorf. On September 23, 1943 she was married to Edward Koehler at the Preisendorf home while Edward was home on leave from the Army. Fort Morgan has been their home except for a few months when they lived in Pomona, CA until Edward was sent overseas during WW II. Her love and devotion to her family brought her great joy. She was an active lifetime member of Christ Congregational Church where she especially enjoyed working with the youth in Sunday School and Bible School. She participated in the Mary Martha Circle, served as church secretary and held various other positions throughout the years. Gladys is survived by three daughters and their husbands, Diane & Merle Rolfs of Fort Collins, Rhonda & Randy Jess of Fort Morgan, and Pamela & Bryan Weimer of Littleton; five grandchildren and their spouses, Jason & Lisa Jess, Jeramy & Kati Jess, Jennifer & Kyle Eiring, all of Fort Morgan, Kayla Weimer of Tempe, AZ, and Cierra Weimer of Littleton; two great grandchildren, Kaylee Jess and Brodin Jess of Fort Morgan; two step-great granddaughters, McKenzie Dahl and Bailey Dahl of Fort Morgan; and one sister and her husband, Bev & Russ Ruhl of Aurora. Gladys was preceded in death by her husband Edward in September 1990 and her parents. Services will be Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at 10:30 AM at the Christ Congregational Church, 730 Ensign, Fort Morgan. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens in Fort Morgan. Memorial contributions may be made to the Christ Congregational Church.
