Obituary

Glen L. McKay, 75, passed away early Saturday, October 17, 2009, at the Valley View Villa Nursing Home in Fort Morgan. He was born August 14, 1934, in Cheyenne, WY, to Oscar & Alice McKay. He graduated from Grover High School. Glen moved to Morgan County in 1959. Prior to retirement was a farmer / rancher. He had also worked for Agri-Chem and Cargill. On November 20, 1994, Glen married Elsie Clark in Brush. He was a member of the Grace Bible Church in Brush. His hobby was working with a scroll saw. He enjoyed watching outdoor sportman shows and animal shows on television. Survivors include his wife, Elsie of Brush; 1 daughter, Glenda Ramirez of Everett, WA; 2 step-children, Evelyn Clark and Richard Clark, both of Fort Morgan; 4 brothers, Delbert and Bob both of California; Merle of Nebraska; and Jim of Greeley; 2 sisters, Stella Roberts of Madison, IA; and Wanita Wiebers of Greeley; 2 grandsons, Matthew and Timothy; and 2 great granddaughters, Kalia and Elliott. He was preceded in death by a son, Richard, his first wife, Evelyn, his parents, and two brothers, Bill and Gerald. A funeral service will be Wednesday, October 21, 2009, at 11:00 AM at the Heer & Dahl Mortuary Chapel in Brush. Interment will follow in the Brush Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Heer & Dahl Mortuary Chapel on Tuesday from 3 – 6 PM.
