Glen LeRoy Skiles, 86, former Morgan County resident, passed away September 17, 2008, at the Ukiah Medical Center, California, four days after suffering from a major stroke. He was born August 18, 1922, in Snyder, CO, to Roy & Sadie Skiles. Glen serviced in the US Navy during WW II, enlisting in 1942, and discharged in 1946. He served as a Pharmacist Mate. He was married to Doris Stevens from 1947 until 1971. She preceded him in death in 1986. After his discharge, Glen worked as a lumber mill supervisor for Pacific Lumber Mill in Willits, CA before retiring in 1987. For 24 years, Glen served as the Adult Bible study leader at the Assembly of God Iglesia el Sanador Church. He taught himself how to play the guitar and how to read and speak Spanish. He lived a very frugal life while helping others in Mexico and other world charities. He was a devoutly religious, Christian man and a kind and wonderful friend to everyone who knew him. He lived a rich life in his faith of the Lord and in the love of his family and friends. Survivors include his nephew, Robert Skiles of Rocklin, CA and nieces, Sharon Matthews of Sacramento, Janis O'Malley of Grand Junction, CO, Dorothy Carroll of Camino, CA, Patricia Erickson of Lincoln, CA, Diane Necker of Sacramento, Susan Mosley of El Dorado, CA, and Sonja, Gribble of Aurora, CA. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Paul, Milton, Dale, and Roy Jr.; and his parents. A graveside service will be held Friday, October 17, 2008, at 1:00 PM at the Interment Chapel at Brush Memorial Cemetery. Interment in the Skiles family plot will follow in the Brush Memorial Cemetery
