Glen Scott Woodruff 96 Longtime area resident, died Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at the East Morgan County Hospital in Brush. He was born February 7, 1911 in Waverly, Iowa to Van and Athelia Woodruff. Glen attended grade school and high school in Waverly and was a graduate of Wartburg College. Glen married Norma Warnke in the "Little Brown Church in the Vale" in Nashua, Iowa on August 6, 1938 Glen was associated with the JC Penny Company for forty years and retired from managing the Brush store in 1971. After retiring, he traveled for some time running store disposal sales, taught at Morgan Community College and was associated with the Loom and Leather clothing Store in Fort Morgan. He became a realtor in 1977 and retired again in 1991. Glen joined the Brush United Methodist Church in 1954 and has served on the Administrative Board as a Trustee and on the finance Committee. Glen was a Mason, was past president and secretary of Rotary Club, was a member of AARP, BUMMS and the Good Sam Club. He helped organize and was the first Chairman of the Brush Housing Authority. He played in the Brush Kitchen Band for a number of years and served on the City, County and Regional Area Agencies on Aging. Glen traveled in twenty-four states had been on both the East and West coasts and to Mexico and Canada and wished he could have traveled more. His hobbies were fishing, traveling in his motor home and reading. Survivors include his two daughters, Beth Lebsock and her husband Paul Berwick of Colorado Springs and Kyla Woodruff of 29 Palms, California, grandsons, Michael Lebsock and his wire Rene of Fresno, California and Ronald Lebsock and his wife, Nancy of Hilliard, Ohio, five great granddaughters and two great grandsons. Glen was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Norma, one grandson, Danny Lebsock, one brother Donald Woodruff and one sister Ruth Woodruff. Memorial Services will be Monday, April 16, 2007 at 10:00 AM at the United Methodist Church in Brush. Services will conclude at the church. Private Inurnment will be in Brush Memorial Cemetery. Memorial gifts can be made to either the United Methodist Church in Brush or to the East Morgan County Hospital in Brush. The Heer Mortuary and Crematory in Brush is in charge of the arrangements.
