With deep sorrow and love, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, Glenda Howell, who passed away peacefully on July 9, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at East Morgan County Hospital.

Born in Brush, Colorado, on November 24, 1950, to Kenneth and Goldie Curtis, Glenda lived a life full of compassion, service, and faith. A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she found strength and purpose in her beliefs, which guided her every step.

In 1984, Glenda began a meaningful career in healthcare. She served in many roles over the years: CNA, med aide, phlebotomist, school nurse, and EMT—always with dedication and kindness. Her gentle spirit and willingness to help others touched countless lives.

More than anything, she cherished the time spent with her daughters and grandchildren. Their joy was her joy, and she was never happier than when surrounded by her family. She found peace in the simple pleasures: watching birds, nurturing her plants, basking in the sunshine, and enjoying shopping trips.

Glenda will be remembered for her warm heart, generous soul, and unwavering love. Her legacy lives on in the lives of those she cared for and the family she loved so dearly.

She is deeply missed and forever loved.

Glenda was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Goldie Curtis, her brother Kenny Curtis, and her granddaughter Amber Roberts. She is survived by her sister, Doris (Victor) Gibbs, four daughters; Teresa (Shawn) Klein, Susan (Dave) Hollis, Ralna (Pete) Prytula, and Sara (David) Thomas, her grandchildren; Ashley Arroyo, Chase Klein, Aubrey Klein, Anthony Thomas, Aurora Thomas, Bryce Thomas, Symphony Muhr, Adeleine Hollis, Jayden Prytula, and Austin Prytula and her six great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 15, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Fort Morgan. There will be a private viewing for family and close friends on Monday, July 14, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Heer Mortuary in Fort Morgan.

Interment will follow at the Brush Memorial Cemetery.
