Glenn Albert Hendrickson, 96, lifelong residence of Fort Morgan, died Friday, September 12, 2008 at the Valley View Villa Care Center in Fort Morgan. Glenn was born August 17, 1912 in Dubois, Nebraska to Ira and Amanda (Grossenbacher) Hendrickson. He moved to Fort Morgan from Humbold, Nebraska in 1921 on Thanksgiving Day. Glenn married Silvie Mae Alyea on July 18, 1935 in Brighton, Colorado. Mr. Hendrickson was a member of Morgan Church of the Nazarene and was a member of the Oasis Lodge # 67 AF & AM. Glenn received a plaque for being a Mason for over 50 years. He enjoyed boating, shooting and was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. Glenn also liked to travel, but did not like to fly so he drove wherever he went. Survivors include, one son, Donald Hendrickson of Fort Morgan, one daughter; Dixie Brawley of Leola, Arkansas, one brother; Lynn Hendrickson of Wiggins, two sisters; Iola Moeller, and Ruth Merklin, both of Fort Morgan, fourteen grandchildren, forty great-grandchildren and thirty-four great-great grandchildren. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Silvie who died in 2005, two daughters; Amanda Lamar, and Dorothy Hendrickson, five sisters; Doris Carman, Alta Rigli, Blanche Patten, Esther Clemons and an infant sister, Dorothy Hendrickson. Visitation will be held Monday, September 15, 2008 from 12:00 PM until 5:00 PM at the Heer Mortuary in Fort Morgan. Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. The Heer Mortuary in Fort.
