Gloria M. Romero, 82, of Fort Morgan, died Monday, July 25, 2016 at Valley View Villa in Fort Morgan.

She was born November 28, 1933 in Monte Vista, CO to Tony & Millie Martinez. Gloria married Mickey Romero in Taos, NM on April 25, 1951. They moved to Fort Morgan from Denver about 35 years ago.

Gloria was a member of Saint Helena's Catholic Church and the Fort Morgan Hospital Auxiliary. In the past she had worked as an interpreter for the Fort Morgan Times, Morgan Community College, Morgan County District Courts, and County Express. She also worked at Caring Ministries and did volunteer work for the Fort Morgan Police Department. Gloria enjoyed fishing, sewing, and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her three daughters, Marie Heiman of Fort Morgan, Christina Carson and husband, John of Lewellen, NE, and Connie Cadena of Alabama; and her son, Michael Romero of Fort Morgan; five grandchildren, Dr. John Henry Carson, Jessica Bradshaw, Stephanie Sandoval, Stacy Cadena, and Juan Cadena; and two great grandchildren.

Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, Mickey Romero; her parents, her siblings; and two sons-in-law, Darrell Heiman and Juan Cadena.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, July 29th at 10:00 AM at Saint Helena's Catholic Church in Fort Morgan. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Fort Morgan.
