Goldie Irene Curtis 87 longtime area resident, died Saturday, October 13, 2007 at the Colorado Plains Medical Center in Ft. Morgan. She was born June 9, 1920 in Concordia, Kansas to Samuel and Bessie Baughman. Goldie married Kenneth L. Curtis on November 13, 1941 in Sidney, Nebraska. Goldie was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Ft. Morgan. She was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary. Goldie enjoyed working in her yard, and took special care of her flowers. She loved her family and her grandchildren and great grandchildren were very special to her. Survivors include, two daughters, Glenda Howell of Brush and Doris Gibbs of Kit Carson, one brother, Sam Baughman of Brush, eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Kenneth, one son, Kenneth Curtis Jr., one sister, Violet Doane, three brothers, Bill, Guy and Ralph Baughman and three great grandchildren, Amber Roberts and Aaron and Austin Braaten. There will be a visitation on Monday, October 15, 2007 from 4 until 8 PM at the Heer Mortuary in Brush. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at 1:30 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Ft. Morgan. Interment will follow in Brush Memorial Cemetery.
