Gordon Hanna Irvine was born December 31, 1931 in Walden, Colorado to Robert Irvine and Florence Sawyer Irvine. He graduated from North Park High School in 1950. Gordon ranched on the West Side of Walden for thirty-one years. He loved ranching and having a good horse to ride.

June 9, 1962 Gordon married Hilda Ramona Hunt from Laramie, Wyoming. They have two daughters Kise Dawn and Kim Leah.

While living in Walden, Gordon enjoyed the North Park Fair Board, North Park Stock Growers Association, North Park Lodge 118 of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows and Walden Rebecca Lodge 42.

January 1, 1972 Gordon and his family moved to Brush, Colorado to farm and ranch. While in Brush, Gordon was a 4-H Leader of the Bits N Spurs 4-H Club for fifteen years. He enjoyed all horse events, rodeos and bull ridings. Gordon especially loved the calf-roping event and in 1982 he built a 60x300 indoor arena, where he could break away rope calves. Most every day Gordon would ride his horses and rope his calves. His horses were the best part of the day for him.

At his retirement from ranching in 1976 he was running 500 cows. Gordon farmed and ran a feedlot for calves for a few years then he retired and went to work for Morhlang MFG. in Brush, Colorado making feeder wagons. In 1996 Gordon retired from Morhlangs and just enjoyed his horses and indoor arena.

2006 Gordon and Ramona moved to Foristell, Missouri so that they could be around their granddaughters, Breanna and Dakota Lindell. Gordon especially enjoyed watching his granddaughters play volleyball. Gordon had to give up his horses because the disease COPD made it too hard for him to care for them. He sold the horses before moving to Foristell.

Gordon passed away peacefully in his home on May 07, 2016. He is survived by his wife Ramona, two daughters Kise (Merlin) Gertson of Snyder, Colorado, Kim (Brian) Lindell and two granddaughters Breanna and Dakota Lindell of Foristell, Missouri and several nieces and nephews.

Gordon is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Florence; his brother John, and sister Iris Anderson.

As per Gordon's wishes there will not be a service or visitation. He will be cremated and his ashes scattered in Colorado.
