Grace A. Nation, 86, of Fort Morgan, passed away Friday, September 1, 2006, at the Colorado Plains Medical Center. She was born September 24, 1919, in Rice County, KS, to Herman and Agens Bernstort. She married Eldon Nation on April 9, 1939, in Chase, KS. The were married for over 66 years. The Nation family moved to the Fort Morgan area in 1956 from Kansas. Grace was a member of the Fort Morgan United Methodist Church. She enjoyed traveling and was an avid square dance, belonging to several area square dance clubs. Survivors include 3 sons, Dwane Nation of Fort Morgan, Garold Nation of Greeley, and Galen Nation of Tulsa, OK; 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eldon, 2 brothers, Olin and Wes Bernstorf, 2 sisters, Esther Murray and Cora Farver, and her parents. Funeral services will be Monday, September 4, 2006, at 10:30 AM at the Fort Morgan United Methodist Church. Interment will be in Memory Gardens. Friends who wish may make memorial gifts to the Fort Morgan United Methodist Church. The Heer & Jolliffe Mortuary was entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
