Grace Ruby Newens, 98, of Ft. Morgan, died Thursday, September 18, 2014at the Porter Hospice Residence in Centennial. She was born January 30, 1916 in Nebraska to Garfield and Edith Holden. She married Everett Carl Newens on April 12, 1935 in Akron. He died in January of 1990. Grace enjoyed fishing, and gardening. She won an award in Brush for her garden and was still mowing her own lawn at the age of 83. She loved her family and they were very important to her. Survivors include one daughter, Evelyn Brunko and her husband Jerry of Littleton, one sister Gertie Strauch of Ault, one grandchild and one great grandchild. Grace was preceded in death by her husband, Everett, a great-great granddaughter, three brothers, two sisters, and her parents. There will be private family Memorial Services at a later date. Interment will be in the Brush Memorial Cemetery.
