Grant W. "Bud" Midcap, 93, passed away Saturday, September 16, 2017.

He was born June 12, 1924 in Derby, CO to James & Beatrice (Wallace) Midcap. He graduated from Adams City High School in 1947. Bud made Fort Morgan his home in the mid 1950's where he began work with Buick/Chevrolet. He later worked as an oilfield mechanic, after which, he began his own business, "Bud's Engine Service" in Fort Morgan, which he ran until his retirement in 2000. Bud married Sandra Kinley on June 9, 1978 in Cheyenne, WY.

Bud was a member of BPOE Lodge 1143, and Oasis Lodge #67, AF&AM. He was also a proud member of the NRA. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his daughter, Cheryl Mese and husband, Jeff of Loveland; son, Stephen Midcap of Fort Collins; brother, J. Thomas Midcap of Wiggins; and his grandchildren who named him "Papa Bud", Quintin Mese and wife, Kerry of Loveland, Jacob Mese and wife, Amy of Las Vegas, NV, Robert Mese and wife, Brea of Greeley, Alexander Mese and wife, Stephanie of Independence, KS, Grant Wallace Midcap II and Natalie Bright, both of Florida. Bud is also survived by his great grandchildren, Grace, Brielle, Evangeline, Kamden, Brenna, Bentley, and Kymber.

The family would like to recognize Val Romero for her loving care, friendship, and for all of her help fulfilling our dad's wishes during his last days.

Bud was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Grace Tressell; and his wife, Sandy.

A memorial service will be Tuesday, September 19th at 11:00 AM at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan. Services will conclude at the chapel. Private Inurnment will be held in Serenity Falls Columbarium in Fort Morgan.
