Obituary

Hal F. Reeves, 88, of Fort Morgan, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2026. He was born April 24, 1937, in Illinois to Jewel "Pappy" and Bernice (Higginson) Reeves.

Hal married the love of his life, Patricia Heardt, on October 26, 1962, in Fort Morgan where they raised their family.

Hal began his career as a truckdriver/manager with Mid-America Dairymen (Mid-Am) which later became Western Dairymen Cooperative and is now Dairy Farmers of America (DFA) today. He retired from there in 2004.

In his younger years Hal enjoyed being part of the local band, The Roadrunners and later, Hal Reeves and the Glitters. In later years he enjoyed woodworking, jigsaw puzzles and online coloring. He was also an avid reader.

He is survived by three daughters, Tammie (John) Dodge, Kristy (Don) Lehman, and Nicky Reeves; his sister, Patricia Worley; his son-in-law, Adam Martinez, eight grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and numerous great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Reeves; his daughter, Cindy Martinez; his brother, Gary Reeves, and his parents.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, January 27th at 2:00 PM in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Fort Morgan.
