. Hannah Lanphear, 101, life resident of Morgan County, passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2014, at the Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush. She was born December 25, 1912, in Fort Morgan, to Conrad & Amalia Schaffer. Hannah lived in several areas in Morgan County. She has lived in the Brush community since 1942. She married Paul Lanphear on April 5, 1958, in Las Vegas, NV. Hannah was a member of Calvary Assembly of God Church, Royal Neighbors, and AARP. She enjoyed fishing, quilting, needle point; and working in her garden. Survivors include 1 step - son, Melvin Lanphear of Gilbert, AZ; 2 grandson, John Spade & AJ Spade, & their children Austin & Kali; 8 step grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; 1 son, Harold Spade; an infant daughter, 3 step children; 6 sisters, 5 brothers, and her parents. A funeral service will be held Thursday, December 4, at 1:00 PM at the Calvary Assembly of God, 1012 Eaton Street, in Brush. Interment will follow in the Brush Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Brush on Wednesday from 2 - 4 PM.
